Browsers expose speech speed as a multiplier relative to the selected voice, not as an exact words-per-minute value. The WPM figure is therefore an estimate; 175 WPM maps to the voice's normal 1× rate.
The available voices come from your browser and operating system. If your browser loads voices after the page opens, this list will refresh automatically.
Browser storage
This site stores information such as your LLM credentials and current story in your browser's localStorage, and active conversations in sessionStorage. This isn't shared with the site's author. However, someone with access to your browser may be able to see this data. To clear both storage areas and return Home, click remove my saved data.
